This Saturday, on August 26th Fulbright Ukraine was honored to welcome Taras Topolia, Alina Krasnianska, producer of the film, and their friends in-person. Fulbrighters Marta Tomakhiv and Aaron Kennet prepared very smart and insightful questions for our guests. Opening remarks by Jessica Zychowicz, Dir. IIE-Fulbright Ukraine; Sarah Ilchman Co-President of Institute of International Education and Jonah Kokodyniak, Senior Vice-President IIE enriched this event with reflection on Fulbright’s history in Ukraine since 1991 and ongoing international solidarity and support for Ukraine. Thanks to everyone for participating virtually and in-person!
This was a perfect way to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day—without saying a word, almost everyone dressed vyshyvankas. We encourage all to watch the full CULTURE VS WAR documentary series and to spread the word about this powerful project. As well as to support ANTYTILA’s creativity and volunteer work. This fall, they will be on a stadium tour across most major cities in the United States.
