IIE Ukraine Award: Education for the Future of Ukraine

IIE Ukraine Award:
Education for the Future of Ukraine

The Institute of International Education (IIE) Ukraine Office is pleased to announce a new assistance award, Education for the Future of Ukraine, designed to support Ukrainian citizens who have directly suffered from the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war in their efforts to obtain quality education and further their professional development.

A global non-for-profit established in U.S. (1919), Institute of International Education (IIE) creates and implements international education programs, conducts research, provides life-changing opportunities for students, scholars, and artists worldwide. The IIE Office has existed in Ukraine since 2001. The Fulbright Ukraine program (1992) is also led and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). For 30 years, it has provided opportunities for many Ukrainians and Americans to gain academic exchange experiences.

With the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, IIE launched numerous initiatives in support of the Ukrainian academic community at risk, including emergency funding for students, scholars, and displaced universities.

This award aims to provide modest stipends for Ukrainians from vulnerable populations whose everyday lives have changed dramatically due to Russia’s war against Ukraine. The funds will enable the awardees to pursue educational activities vital to their successful professional careers.
