This summer (July 9-16) @Fulbright Ukraine team had a great opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from @Fulbright Poland, @Fulbright Czech Republic, @Fulbright Slovakia, @Fulbright Bulgaria and @Fulbright Türkiye. We met in Warsaw for the International Seminar “Fulbright Connects: Regional Exchange and Good Practices.” The excellent program included interactive sessions about recruiting talent, selection procedures, ideas for new projects and cooperation, engaging alumni etc. and was professionally prepared by Fulbright Poland, special thanks to @Anna Kertyczak and @Justyna Janiszewska.
We also had a chance to experience the city of Warsaw through walking and bus tours and visits to museums. And as it always happens when it comes to “Fulbright” the most important part of this experience were the people! Throughout the seminar’s working activities and informal sessions we shared best practices and enriched one another about our different countries and cultures. For Fulbright Ukraine, this time was doubly valuable: in addition to increasing our capacity and our professional growth, we had the opportunity to spread our firsthand personal experiences of living and working in wartime Ukraine.
This seminar provided both a wonderful and critical moment for international collaboration, which ensures us that Ukraine has many friends across the globe. We are thankful to all of our colleagues from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Türkiye for their strong support.
